The sensor features the latest Z-Wave Plus technology in the new 500 series. Before we can use the device, we need to connect it to the Z-Wave network. Once connected, you can use this device to monitor unwanted intruders and trigger Z-Wave alarms on the same network. 

 How it works
The Ecolink Z-Wave PIR motion detector protects your home while you're out and won't trigger false alarms when your cat/dog or other pets are walking around. This motion detector offers two sensitivity settings (medium and low) to avoid false alarms. But if anything else changes, you'll receive an SMS or email alert so you can take immediate action.

Long battery life and a slim yet rugged design make this motion detector a perfect addition to the Z-Wave home.

 installation
Easy to install with mounting hardware or double-sided tape (included). Sensors must be added to the Z-Wave network before use. To add a device:

Make sure your Z-Wave controller is in inclusion mode
Insert the battery to enable sensor containment mode. The LED light turns red for 10 seconds and then turns off to indicate the recording process is complete. If the LED light flashes after 10 seconds, repeat the recording process.

 Test your device before assembly.

Place the sensor in an empty room
leave the room for more than 4 minutes
Return to the room and pass in front of the sensor lens
LED light flashes to indicate motion detected
Install the sensor by mounting the bracket to the wall 6.5 to 7.5 feet from the floor (use the tape or screws provided). Align the hole in the back of the sensor with the key on the bracket and slide the sensor down until it clicks into place.
